Abaroa to be extradited back to Durham

DURHAM

At an extradition hearing Wednesday afternoon in Idaho, Abaroa waived extradition.

The hearing lasted less than 10 minutes.

Abaroa was arrested earlier this month in Caribou County for the murder of his pregnant wife in 2005.

Janet Abaroa was found stabbed to death in the couple's home on Ferrand Drive. She was pregnant at the time.

Her husband left Durham shortly after the murder.

Raven Abaroa was arrested in Idaho earlier this month and indicted by a Durham grand jury this week.

Durham police are making arrangements to get Abaroa back to the Bull City.
