When they arrived, they found a man who appeared to have been shot. The man, Adrian Kyree Evans, 18, was transported to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh to be treated for his injuries.
Police say his injuries consisted of one shotgun wound to his lower back that appeared to be life threatening.
Officials say some people of interest have been contacted and investigators are working on this case.
No suspect information has been released.
