Durham police charge robbery suspect

DURHAM Authorities say Kelley is charged with robbing two people at gunpoint around 12:40 a.m. on March 21 in the parking lot of a McDonald's on West Morgan Street.

The victims -- a man and woman -- told officers they were in the parking lot when three men approached them and robbed them of cash, jewelry and cell phones.

Kelley, who also goes by the name DeAndre Kelly, is charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of second-degree kidnapping and one count of felony conspiracy.

James Antonio "J.B." Brown Jr., 20, was arrested last month and charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, one count of felony conspiracy and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection with the case.

Kelley turned himself in at Durham Police Headquarters. He was placed in Durham County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
