WTVT-TV in Tampa reports Scott Christopher Hahn, 39, of Charlotte was arrested at the Holiday House hotel.
According to detectives, Hahn had the body covered with a blanket. When another guest asked him what it was, he replied that it was "garbage."
Guests alerted security. They called 911 when they spotted Hahn's wife's feet sticking out from under the blanket.
Kimberly Kane was smothered according to an autopsy report. She had taken out a domestic violence injunction against Hahn in Charlotte.
