Cary residents lose cable service

Time Warner said Thursday that a contractor working on traffic signals in the area of Davis Drive and Cornerstone Drive in Morrisville cut a fiber optic line - stopping cable service to some 10,000 customers.

A spokesperson said some service has been restored, and the rest should be reconnected by around 6 p.m.

The problem also cut off cell phone service for some.
