Construction worker hit in Raleigh

A construction worker is recovering Tuesday morning after being hit by a car overnight.

The worker is part of a road crew that is resurfacing Avent Ferry Road near Gorman Street in Raleigh.

Police say the worker stepped in front of a passing car. The driver will not be charged.

The worker was taken to the hospital with a possible broken leg. No other injuries were reported.
