About 600 paratroopers who were deployed in Afghanistan returned home to Ft. Bragg over the weekend. Soldiers were greeted with smiles and hugs by their loved ones.

The paratroopers are a part of the 82nd Airborne's 2nd Brigade Combat Team. They deployed to Afghanistan in early May where they worked with Afghan National Security Forces.

The 2nd Brigade Combat Team, White Falcons, was also sent to Haiti to help with recovery efforts after a massive earthquake in January.

In Haiti, members of the White Falcons Combat Team provided security and helped with food and shelter distribution in Port-Au-Prince.
