Authorities say it is unclear how long the body was there or who found it.
According to Raleigh Police Spokesperson Jim Sughrue, the body was a man in his 50s. The man's name has not been released at this time.
Sughrue says an investigation is no longer underway, because they do not suspect foul play.
The coroner's office says an autopsy will be conducted.
