Police seek information about cabbie shooting

DURHAM

Investigators say the taxi driver pulled into the Food Lion parking lot at 3022 Fayetteville Street shortly before 12:30 a.m. on August 28, when two men approached him. One of the suspects is described as tall with "big eyes."

Police say the 52-year-old cab driver was shot multiple times and suffered serious injuries. After the shooting, police believe the victim staggered from his taxi to the front doot of a substation for help.

The motive of the crime remains under investigation.
