County officials said coli forms are bacteria that are naturally present in the environment and are generally not harmful themselves. However, coli forms are an indicator that other, potentially harmful, bacteria may be present.
Officials said follow-up samples were negative for bacteria, and the boil water advisory was lifted Tuesday morning.
Town of Franklinton water customers were not affected by the boil water advisory.
