Teen killed in hit and run

OXFORD

Sevon Cameron, 15, was a student at J.F. Webb High School. Grief counselors were at the school Monday.

"He was a well liked student, very outgoing," said Stan Winborne with Granville County Schools.

Investigators say 36-year-old Curtis Cash of Oxford was behind the wheel of the vehicle that killed Cameron.

Cash allegedly drove off after hitting the teen and later called 911 to report what happened. He was arrested at his home and charged with DWI and felony hit and run.

ABC11 has checked Cash's records and found at least two other DWI convictions.
