The incident allegedly happened in the former offices of the Garner EMS and Rescue Squad.
On Friday, detectives issued an arrest warrant for William J. Fredereick. He is charged with sexual battery.
Frederick was employed as the Chief of Garner EMS and Rescue at the time of the incident. He resigned from his position as chief on Sept. 7.
Investigators have been in contact with Frederick recently and expect him to turn himself in on this charge soon. Police say they do not expect to make any additional charges in the incident.
