Chapel Hill Police Department Administrative Lieutenant Kevin Gunter says officers were trying to verify if anyone was at the home around noon Tuesday. He says they can't hear or see anything going on in the house.
Authorities blocked the road off as a precaution, but later cleared the scene after they were able to verify that no one was inside the house.
