Two arrested in four Raleigh break-ins

RALEIGH Authorities received a call around 1 p.m. Monday from a woman who said two men were trying to enter her home through a window.

Omari Jevon Eubanks, 24, and Carlos Lewis Fearrington, 18, --both of Chapel Hill-- were arrested at the scene.

An investigation revealed that earlier the suspects had broken into three additional residences.

The men are charged with two counts of breaking and entering and larceny, two counts of breaking and entering, four counts of conspiracy breaking and entering, one count of possession of burglary tools and one count of resist, delay, obstructing an officer.

Both have been placed under a $100,000 secured bond.

Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison is reminding residents during the holiday season to be especially vigilant.

"Thieves know this can be a lucrative time of year to break into homes and steal expensive Christmas presents," he said. "Be on the lookout for anyone suspicious in your neighborhoods. A nosy neighbor is the best alarm system you can have."

Harrison is also reminding citizens to turn on their alarm systems, lock their doors and windows, as well as their cars.
