Teenager hit by car

JOHNSTON COUNTY Police say the 15-year-old boy was trying to cross South Brightleaf Boulevard near Galilee Road in Smithfield when he was hit.

The teenager was taken to WakeMed with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation into the accident is on-going. However, police are saying they don't think the driver was at fault.
