Pedestrian, dog hit by car

RALEIGH It happened just before 5 p.m. in the 5100 block of Fort Sumter Road off of Jones Franklin Road.

Authorities say the woman may have some broken bones, but is expected to be okay. Her dog did not survive.

Further details about the accident have not been released at this time.
