Fire truck involved in wreck

A car slammed into the back of a fire truck on the Raleigh Beltline Tuesday night.It happened around 9:30 p.m. near Hammond Road.

The truck was parked on the road, because it was on the scene of a previous accident.

No firefighters were hurt, but the driver of the car that hit the fire truck was taken to WakeMed to be checked out.

The back bumper of the fire truck was damaged in the crash.

Further details about the accident have not been released.
