Two arrested in almost 3 year old Raleigh homicide

RALEIGH, NC Homicide detectives have been investigating the murder of 26-year-old Jesse George Brunner since it was reported on July 12, 2008.

Brunner, known by the nickname "White Bread," was found dead in the early morning hours in the 3000 block of Spanish Court off Wade Avenue.

On Tuesday, authorities say they received a tip about the crime. As a result, 24-year-old Norman Trevor Williams and 24-year-old Jennifer Tu Taing have been charged with first degree murder in connection with Brunner's death.

Williams was arrested without incident by Raleigh Police Department officers at his home on Wester Road shortly after midnight Wednesday morning, and Taing was arrested during a traffic stop on Capital Boulevard just after 1 a.m.

Williams and Taing are currently in the Wake County Jail.

Detectives say they have determined that Brunner and Williams knew one another and that the murder was not a random act.

The follow-up investigation of the case is continuing, and anyone with information that might be of assistance to detectives is asked to call Raleigh CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-4357. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that contribute to solving cases.
