The teacher reported the incident to the principal and she put the female teacher on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of an investigation.
No criminal charges have been filed at this time. Lewis says she expects the investigation to be completed by the end of the week.
She would not say what grade the students were in, but did say they are young children.
Boone Trail Elementary School is a K-5 school.
