According to Johnston County officials, a man was killed. His name has not been released at this time.
According to Robin Chapman, spokesperson for Norfolk-Southern Railroad, two trains were going eastbound when he says the man stepped on to the tracks and in front of the trains.
The Clayton Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
The dead man was identified as 26-year-old Joshua Allen Burnette of Emmanuel Place, Dudley.
