Man steals sheriff's 'bait car'

CUMBERLAND COUNTY Officials say the "bait car" was parked along a rural road in the country when 50-year-old Curtis Lorenzo Bell took it.

He was arrested early Wednesday morning on Chicken Foot Road after driving more than 100 mph.

Authorities say Bell was on his way to his house when he was stopped.

Bell is charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle and felony possession of a stolen vehicle. He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $7,500 bond.

Bell is scheduled to make a first court appearance on Thursday.
