According to the court documents obtained by ABC11, they denied their 13-year-old child medical care for diabetes resulting in near death.

They both also face four other counts of misdemeanor child abuse involving their other children ages 8, 9, 11 and 14.

They're accused of neglecting them in terms of medical care, education, nutrition, and supervision.

Wake County Human Services in Fuquay-Varina is listed as a witness in the case. A spokesperson there said they're not able to comment on the investigation.

The sheriff's office won't either since the case involves children.

The Redmonds are expected to attend a court hearing Wednesday.
