Wake Forest man allegedly kills roommate

WAKE FOREST It happened around 8:00 am, at a home located in the 800 block of Stadium Drive.

Police say they arrived at the Wake Forest residence and found 52-year-old David Jefferson Acree shot in the chest.

Acree died at Wake Med Sunday afternoon.

Police arrested 49-year-old Dwayne David Ross and have charged him with second degree murder for allegedly killing Acree.

Authorities say the two men, were roommates and both lived at the home on Stadium Drive.

Ross is being held at the Wake County jail. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday morning.
