When officers arrived, they found that Armendariz Evans, 29, had been shot, and was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Police say Evans underwent emergency surgery for the injuries he sustained and is currently listed in critical condition.
There is not yet word on suspects or a motive.
