Man accused of leaving kids in hot car

RALEIGH Investigators say Jesus Morfinez-Juarez left the children unattended in a vehicle for more than 30 minutes on Friday, while the temperature was greater than 95 degrees.

He's charged with two counts of misdemeanor child abuse, and is being held on a $3,000 bond.

Federal officials have also placed an immigration detainer on him - while they investigate if he is in the country illegally.

He's due in court at the end of August.
