WAYNE COUNTY --
Police arrested and charged a 23-year-old with a shooting that killed one person and injured another Sunday.Officers arrested 23-year-old Shawtanna Thompson Wednesday.
Investigators say Thompson shot 21-year-old Darrel Best while he sat in a car on Olivia Street. The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Brandon Turner, suffered an ear injury.
Best was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Thompson is being held without bond.
