NC terror suspect pleads guilty

RALEIGH

Twenty-four-year-old Dylan Boyd pleaded Wednesday, nearly a month after pleading innocent along with four others to felony charges from an alleged conspiracy to attack a U.S. Marine Corps base in Virginia and targets overseas.

The trial for the remaining four defendants begins Monday. The men face life in prison if convicted for the most serious charges.

Boyd's 22-year-old brother Zakariya Boyd has pleaded guilty to a single conspiracy count. Their father and the accused ringleader, 41-year-old Daniel Patrick Boyd, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and conspiracy to murder.

The Boyds are scheduled to be sentenced following the trial of the other defendants.
