Convicted robber charged with new robberies

Durham police charged 40-year-old David Loman with robbery Friday.

He is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon . Police say he robbed a Durham CVS on September 10.

Police say Loman entered the store wearing a fake beard and handed an employee a note saying he had a gun. He demanded drugs and fled the scene through the drive-through window.

On Thursday, officers arrested Loman and charged him with robbing the SunTrust Bank on Dobbins Drive in Chapel Hill earlier that day. He was charged with common law robbery in that case and placed in the Orange County Jail.

Loman was convicted in 2006 for robbing a Durham BB&T in 2005.
