Man sought for seriously injuring friend

FAYETTEVILLE

Charges against 24-year old Audwin Pierre Lindsay, Jr. of Barfield Drive in Fayetteville include attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Investigators said on May 28, Carlos Sanchez of Summerwind Drive in Fayetteville was seriously injured by gunfire, leaving him a quadriplegic.

According to police, witnesses said Lindsay and Sanchez were involved in an argument when gunfire broke out.

Sanchez was later found wounded and bleeding in the living room of his home by a family member. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery.

Detectives are currently searching for Lindsay. He is described as standing at least 5' 9" inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.

Lindsay is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
