Black Friday shoppers kicked out of line

RALEIGH

Shoppers began lining up in front of Best Buy stores days in advance, so they could be first in line for a LCD 42 inch flat screen TV for $199 - $400 off retail price.

However, several customers told ABC11 Thursday that they were kicked out of the line at the Best Buy at Crabtree Valley Mall, because mall security told them they could not form a line.

"They say that you're not allowed to line up before 5 p.m., so there's not that much people here because they're not allowed to line up, but the other Best Buys, they are very crowded," shopper Mike Cavallaro said.

Therefore, customers had to wait in their cars.

"I guess that's just their policy for everyday and they don't want to change it for Thanksgiving," Cavallaro said.

CJ Enriquez said he decided to come to the Brier Creek location when he was kicked out of line at Crabtree.

He said he was more than willing to skip the turkey and bide his time so he could snag that coveted TV.

"I brought my laptop so we watched some movies in the car. That's it, movies, coffee, hang out," he said.
