DURHAM --
Dozens of children in Durham County used their voices to brighten their community. More than 100 kids performed holiday favorites and sing-alongs during the Kidznotes holiday concert Saturday.
The Kidznotes program started last year in East Durham. It targets low-income schools and gives students 10 hours of free music lessons a week. The idea behind the program is to use classical music to help build futures for the children of Durham.
