Friends and family paid their final respects Sunday to a 15-year-old Raleigh girl who was killed in a car crash last week.

Funeral services were held in Raleigh Sunday afternoon for Carol Stamper.

The Enloe High School sophomore was killed when the SUV she was riding in struck a guardrail and flipped.

Those who knew Stamper remember her as a pleasant and creative student who sang in chorus and performed in theater.

Seventeen-year-old Ashley Szymankiewicz is charged with causing the crash that killed Stamper.

She is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
