Gingrich was speaking to an auditorium full of students during a campaign stop and was taking questions when it happened.
A student at the back stood up and told Gingrich "I'm a big fan of you" and that President Obama is running an "unsustainable economy."
He then asked: "I was wondering if you could do us all a favor and Newt-er Obama?"

The comment brought laughs from other students in the audience.
Gingrich took it in stride, saying: "Well, with your help, I'd like to do that, yes."
"How about you help me work to get through the North Carolina Primary and we'll go to work on Obama next, okay?" he continued.
