Authorities said just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, they were called to the 5000 block of Southmill Drive in the Kings Mills Subdivision about a dispute.
When police officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old man who had been shot and the 46-year-old shooter still at the scene.
Both men were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
