Officials said 40-year-old Herman Blizzard was found dead at his Fayetteville home Friday. The discovery was made after deputies were called to the man's home on Wolfe Lee Drive for a well being check.
Saturday morning police apprehended 21-year-old Charles Crampton in Onslow County. Crampton is Blizzard's nephew. Crampton was driving his uncle's car, and also had a weapon in his possession.
Crampton was charged for theft of a motor vehicle in Onslow County. He will be extradited to Cumberland County next week. He is being held without bond.
An autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of Blizzard's death.
