Man arrested after crashing into 8 cars

RALEIGH

Just after 3 a.m., authorities were called to the 4400 block of Brockton Road about an accident. When they arrived, they found eight vehicles damaged.

A vehicle apparently veered off the road and slammed into the parked cars in front of the Greenpark townhomes. The impact left skid marks along the road and a nearby mailbox damaged.

A resident told ABC11 he was woken up by the sound of the crash.

"My first thought was someone is driving through the building," Mike Bullock said. "So when everything stopped happening, I came downstairs and when I opened the door, I saw people hopping out of a vehicle and running away. Then, I looked out in the parking lot and I didn't see my vehicle. Upon further inspection, I noticed that one vehicle was crushed up underneath a Yukon and another vehicle was pushed some 50 feet away."

A man was arrested at the scene and another person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Their names have not been released.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
