CHARLOTTE --
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney easily won the primary election in North Carolina with 66 percent of the vote. Now, Romney is poised to return to the state. His campaign confirmed to ABC11 that Romney will make an appearance in Charlotte on Friday.
Romney is now less than 200 delegates away from the number he needs to officially secure the GOP nomination.
Romney visited the Triangle and Charlotte in April.
