The Humane Society assisted the Robeson County Sheriff's Department in the investigation and raid that lead to the seizure of more than 10 birds.
Officials said three of the birds were dead on arrival, and all of the birds had injuries consistent with cockfighting. Deputies also found suspected cockfighting paraphernalia on the property.
Crews from the Humane Society were able to take in the birds and coordinate rescue efforts.
