Man allegedly burns down ex-girlfriend's home

FAYETTEVILLE

Last Sunday, 30-year-old Rodolfo Rivera allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's home, stole a computer and set fire to the residence. The home on the 3300 block of James Dail Road was completely destroyed.

A firefighter was injured while battling the blaze and suffered burns to his left arm.

Rivera had recently been charged with breaking into the same home. Rivera's ex-girlfriend, 32-year-old Tanekia Britton told police that the Rivera was angry that she had company.

Rivera is wanted on charges of breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods, and second-degree arson.

Rivera is described as black male, 5'7" tall, weighing approximately 180 lbs. He has black, short cropped hair and brown eyes. He is also known by the nickname "Two-Two" and has several tattoos.

Anyone with information on where Rivera may be is asked to contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (910) 323-1500. Officials said Rivera is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
