Twenty-eight-year-old Mayra Mejia-Romero's body was found in Falls Lake near Redwood Road on Thursday. She was reported missing on May 21.

A medical examiner ruled Friday that her death was a homicide.
Thirty-two-year-old Marcos Antonio Martinez is now facing murder charges in connection with Mejia-Romero's death.
He was first arrested on May 24 and charged with one count of possession/manufacture of a fraudulent identification, three counts of identity theft and one count of forgery of an instrument.
Martinez is currently in the Durham County Jail without bond.
Mejia-Romero and Martinez reportedly lived together on East Club Boulevard in Durham.
