A worker was killed at a BP gas station at New Bern Avenue and Corporation Drive in Raleigh early Wednesday afternoon.

Police said 50-year-old Randy Wilson was working in an underground well at the station, located in the 4000 block of New Bern Avenue, when a person driving away from the gas pump hit him with a car and killed him.

The driver, 52-year-old Deborah Dunkley, then left the scene but was stopped a short time later.
