WCTI reports that police were downtown responding to a fight that had started in a club when shots rang out nearby.
Officials said 21-year-old Dontae Haddock was pronounced dead at Vidant Medical Center.
The names or conditions of the other three people have not been released.
Police have not made any arrests.
