Authorities said Saturday that 39-year-old Marcus Jeffrey died after his Jet Ski was rear-ended by a second Jet Ski on Lake Gaston Friday afternoon.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. near Hamlin Creek, and Jeffrey, of Virginia Beach, V.a., died around 2 p.m. at Halifax Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the other Jet Ski was charged with reckless and negligent operation of a motor boat.
Officials did not comment on what caused the collision.
