It happened at approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 9800 block of Old Whiteville Road, which is south of Lumberton.
Police said the bodies of 61-year-old Paul Adams and 56-year-old Kathy Adams were found shot to death in their home by their son, who lived next door.
Right now, police said they had no suspects and no persons of interest in the case.
The investigation continues.
