It happened around 2:39 p.m. at the entrance to the Northgate Shopping Center.
Police said a 2003 Nissan Xterra driven by a 40-year-old Traci Jackson, of Linden, was traveling northbound on Ramsey Street when she attempted to make a left turn into the shopping center.
A 1996 Yamaha motorcycle traveling southbound on Ramsey Street, driven by 35-year-old Debrouski Paul Mathis Jr., of Fayetteville, was unable to stop and struck the SUV on the right side.
Mathis died at the scene.
Jackson was treated on scene for minor injuries and charged with misdemeanor death by a motor vehicle.
The crash is under investigation.
