Three arrested in Durham crimes

Durham police arrested three people Friday wanted in various crimes dating back to 2010.

Officers arrested 26-year-old Nicholas Beatty in an apartment on Chapel Hill Road.

Beatty was wanted on kidnapping and firearms charges in connection with a Sept. 2 domestic incident.

Inside the apartment, officers also arrested 27-year-old Walter Chavis and 33-year-old Donte Cousin.

Chavis was charged with breaking into a residence on Five Oaks Drive on July 27 and stealing numerous items.

Cousin is charged with using a vehicle to break into the Game Stop store on New Hope Commons Drive on Dec. 20, 2010. He also faces charges of stealing a vehicle from Sunlight Lane on Dec. 19, 2010.
