Twenty-eight-year-old Pedro Castillo Gallegos was murdered on Christmas Day at home on Colleton Road, according to Raleigh Police.
Following an investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of 59-year-old Alfonso Montoya Hernandez.
Raleigh police said they were notified this week that Hernandez has been arrested in North Dakota by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Agents.
Hernandez is being held in Bottineau County Jail awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
