November 2, 2012 2:04:36 PM PDT
Overnight work on I-95 South at the Halifax and Nash County line is set to begin Sunday night.

The NC Department of Transportation said the closure will allow crews to work on rehabilitating the bridge on I-95 South over Fishing Creek.

The right lane of I-95 South will open at 6 A.M. on Monday while crews continue to work in the left lanes. The road will then close again at 10 P.M. each night during the week.

The DOT said there will be a 5.6 mile detour while roadway is closed.
