The Halifax County Sheriff's Office said Monday that a man turned himself in over the weekend in connection with a 2011 fatal shooting.

Jimmie Lee Mason, Jr., is facing murder charges in Thomas Tyrone Davis and Jennilee Ann Foster's deaths.

On the night of Sept. 4, 2011, authorities found 38-year-old Davis and 26-year-old Foster at Foster's Roanoke Rapids home suffering from gunshot wounds. Davis died at the scene, while Foster died two days later at the hospital.

Witnesses at the time told investigators that they saw a white Ford Crown Victoria drive up to the home and a man go inside before the shooting.

Mason, 20, is currently being held in jail under no bond.

Further details about the case have not been released.
