Brayan Hernandez and his brother Ceferino were 13 and 15 when Fernando Garibay-Benitez - a rising tenth grader - was gunned down in the 3800 block of Rolling Green Court on Aug. 15.
Police said Garibay- Benitez was walking home when the two other teens pulled up in a van and started shooting.
Police said gang activity may have been involved in the murder.
Witnesses testified that Brayan asked Garibay-Benitez what gang he was in. They said after Benitez answered, he was shot and killed.
The boys will continue be held in a juvenile facility while they await trial.
While the teens are to be tried as adults, they will not face possible death sentences if convicted because of their ages.
